BIOGRAPHY Telina was diagnosed late with hip dysplasia. This was at the age of 1 when she started walking. We are from Tasmania and waited a long time for surgery in Melbourne. We saw lots of specialists here but we were told they couldn't treat her due to her age. When she was about to walk we noticed she had a limp in her left leg and she dragged it on the ground not lifting it up. We were very concerned and decided to see her doctor who sent us for an X-ray, which confirmed left hip out of socket and it was the size of a pea compared to her other hip. We felt we were sent ‘around the mulberry bush’, being sent here and there with no help at all. Telina still has a limp. She is four and we are again on the waiting list to get back to Melbourne for another operation.
