BIOGRAPHY

We found out about Summer's Heart Defect at our 20wk Scan.

Basically Summer has only one ventricle with Multiple other Heart defects. Summer was also born without a spleen which means antibiotics for life.

Since Summer was born, she has had 3 open Heart surgeries and 5 other Procedures. Summer has another big Open Heart Op coming up this year(2009) which will hopefully bring her o2 levels up and she will be pinker and have more energy.

Summer is doing really well in general and we are so proud of her in how she deals with everything, especially in hospital.

The Dr's say Summer Heart will be OK till her 30's but we keep going on the thought of what will be available in 20 yrs time....
