STITCHES:  Please DO NOT use any LONG STITCHES on your square. We don’t want any               stitches getting caught by little fingers.

THEME SQUARES: When signing up to stitch a square for a particular child, please choose a            pattern to fit the theme of that child’s quilt and fill out the ‘sign up form’ found at the bottom of the        child’s page. PLEASE WAIT for a confirmation from me before you start stitching as I have to make     sure nobody else is stitching that pattern for that particular quilt. Please remember these squares        have a DUE DATE listed on the child’s webpage. Any squares received after this due date will be       used in an ‘Any Child’ or an ‘Emergency Quilt’                                                               top of page

ANY CHILD SQUARES:  You don’t need to notify me when making an ‘any child’ square, just send it   in to us and include a note that states it is for ‘any child’. These squares can be for a boy or girl.         These squares can be any pattern you choose. They will then be used for making up numbers for a    quilt or for an ‘emergency quilt’. (If a child cannot wait the several months it takes to make a ‘theme      quilt’ these squares are then used to make up the emergency quilt.)

SIGNING SQUARES:  Please sign your square. Add your name and the area you are from, stitched close to the bottom of the pattern. Please DO NOT date your square or add the child’s name.                                                                                                                                                      top of page

SQUARE NUMBERS: A quilt is closed when enough stitchers have signed up. If we receive more       squares for a specific quilt than expected we will make two quilts. If your square is to be used for a       different child than you signed up for, I will contact you with the child’s name so you can see the          finished quilt on their webpage.

SQUARE CARE:  Please feel free to wash and dry your square before sending.  Just after washing,   while still wet, slowly iron with a  moderately hot iron until dry. Do not iron the front side of the square only the back. Let dry for at least 24 hours before posting. Put WASHED or NOT WASHED on the       note you include with your package. (If you are not comfortable washing your square, we will do it for   you.)                                                                                                                                top of page

*************************************************************************************

Once the due date for the theme squares has arrived, the squares we have received will be forwarded on to the quilt finishers. Once finished the quilts will be delivered to the child through registered mail. The parents will have to sign to receive the quilt. The finished quilts will be available for viewing on the individual child’s webpage.

If you would like to help toward the costs of making up the quilt and the postage, Aussie stitchers please include a $2 coin with each square. International stitchers are now able to deposit $2 into our PAYPAL account. (See ‘Mailing & Contact Details’ page). If you are unable to include the $2 do not worry about it, we are just happy to receive your  squares for the children.

Your square is stitched, washed and ready to go....what now ?                Go to the Mailing Address link for more info.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       top of page
