BIOGRAPHY Sarah was born at 31 weeks weighing 735 grams. She had her first major surgery at 6 days old and it was discovered that she had been born without a pancreas. She was given 6 weeks to live as her bile ducts were malformed and her liver was failing. She defied the odds and left hospital at 5 months of age. As a result of not having a pancreas she is unable to digest foods and is an insulin dependent Diabetic and will require a liver transplant at some stage.
