BIOGRAPHY

Marcus was born on the 20th April 2004 a healthy and happy baby.

On the 28th August we noticed that Marcus had burst the blood vessels in both eyes. The next day we noticed he had an enlarged testicle. We were sent to the Children's Hospital and after blood tests we were given the diagnosis, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. We were in complete shock. Days earlier we had been celebrating our 12 week old daughter Eliza's Baptism and now our world had fallen apart.
We are now 6 months into Chemotherapy with another 6 to 10 months of intensive Chemo to go and 18 months of maintenance treatment after that.
Marcus' amazing spirit and wonderful personality has given us all strength. Marcus is rarely without a smile, even on the toughest days. Although our journey is not yet over we are confident that Marcus will complete his treatment successfully and will be around to touch the lives of people for years and years to come!
