BIOGRAPHY

Lilly was diagnosed with Truncus Arteriosis before birth, she was diagnosed with 22q11 deletion (a chromosomal disorder) the week she was born.

She underwent an 8 hour operation at 13 days old to put in a heart valve and conduit... she is now waiting to go back to Melbourne for her next surgery where they will replace the heart valve and conduit, repair the VSD (ASD was repaired at first operation) and hopefully reconstruct her Aortic Heart Valve as this is enlarged and leaking. If this can’t be reconstructed they will need to replace this as well.

Lilly is well at the moment but will become tired and breathless when her heart begins to fail... they predict that she will need her next surgery within the next 2 years.. she will then require more surgery as she grows to keep replacing the heart valve’s and conduit.
