BIOGRAPHY

Kate is much loved little sister to James and Harrison (diagnosed ASD Aged 2). Kate was diagnosed with a cardiac condition called Tratology of fallow at 18 weeks gestation. Her birth was straight forward and at full term. Due to low birth weight she was placed in the special care unit for 7 weeks it was around this time that it became evident that Kate also had microcepaly - which means small head and brain. 

Kate has regular seizures and struggles to maintain her airways and brain function at times. She recently underwent open heart surgery to repair the cardiac defect... It was a success. This year due to Kate’s health issues we have only been home together as a family for 15 weeks of her 10 month life so far. This situation is expected to continue till her brain can no longer sustain life. Kate is an incredibly strong little girl who is loved dearly by those who know her.
