BIOGRAPHY

Caitlin was born in 1995. She was the most beautiful baby girl. We lived with her Nana and Pop.

In prep 2001 she complained about headaches and I took her to have her eyes checked. The opthamolgist detected the tumour in her eyes and we were sent to the Royal Childrens hospital.

For 9 years her tumour was stable and last year in Jamuary it started to grow and in July she began chemo.

Her chemo was low dose and she was not going to lose her hair so she decided she was going to shave her head and raise money for the Starlight Foundation who had granted her a wish. Kaitlyn raised over $12,000 and shaved her head September 5th 2010 at the local shopping centre. Her story was in Herald Sun and all the local news papers and even Channel 9 news. Kaitlyn was nominated and won the Take 5 magazines young brave heart award and was flown to Sydney to receive her award. There she met Sophie Delarzio, Steve Waugh, Chris Brown the Bondi vet, and lots of other celebrities.

Kaitlyn now faces surgery for 3 new tumours.
