                             BIOGRAPHY   

                Georgia was born in May 2006.                 A couple weeks after being home her mum found a lump at the base of Georgia's spine. After visits with the doctor it was found she has                        Spina Bifida.                             An operation was scheduled. She had that at about 3 months.     This was to remove the lump. It was so close to the spine though                       they couldn't move it all.                     After this 4 hour operation they just had to wait & see how Georgia would respond. Within a day she was moving her arms & legs                   which was a marvellous sign.                 She is now growing & putting on weight like a normal baby but will continue to undergo MRI's every few months. The prognosis still isn't clear. It is only as she grows & develops that they will have any idea on how severe her case is. So at this stage we are thankful that she is doing as well as she is.
