Elly’s favourite things are pink, school & Livewire. Elly lives in Queensland
Biography Elly first became ill while she was on exchange in Tokyo. She was admitted to hospital with severe pneumonia that had spread to both lungs. For 6 months she continued to Deteriorate until she was admitted to hospital and was diagnosed with multiple chronic illnesses. In 2010 Elly and her mum travelled to Melbourne to be admitted to the only specialist inpatient treatment program in Australia for adolescents with CFS. During the 6 weeks, Elly underwent extensive rehabilitation to hopefully improve her condition. Once home, Elly continued to struggle with health challenges and was in hospital every 3 weeks. 2011 brought new challenges and new diagnoses. This included more hospital stays, surgery, scans and a trip to the intensive care unit. Elly has just got home from being in hospital for 2 weeks. She graduates on the 12th of November and is hoping to do nursing next year.
