Biography

Caelan is currently 2 years of age, and has faced a number of challenges relating to a syndrome which currently remains undiagnosed.

Following his birth, Caelan spent the the initial 12 weeks of his life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit due to difficulties managing his airwayand an inability to feed.

 A number of investigations during this time identified a number of anomolies and challenges for Caelan, including a condition called agenisis of the corpus callosum, significant visual impairment, moderate hearing loss, and non-functioning right kidney.

Caelan has a severe level of developmental delay, which impacts on all aspects of his development.  

Regardless of the challenges he faces, Caelan is making steady progress with his early intervention team reaching many goals set for him.

He is a happy little boy, with a very cheeky side, who always brightens your day.
