BIOGRAPHY
Bethany's birth was unexpectedly traumatic. The umbilical cord was tightly wrapped around her neck depriving her of precious oxygen. This caused extensive brain damage, which rendered her unable to walk, talk or feed orally. Nevertheless, Bethany is a much-loved daughter, sister, grand-daughter, niece and cousin. She is our miracle baby and continually proves doctors' gloomy predictions wrong - we love that!!!
Bethany is in Year 2 at the local state school where she attends 4 days a week. Bethany loves music, having her hair brushed and bounces on her Grandad's knee. She enjoys being around other children, especially her younger sisters, and is learning to communicate with a switch device where she is encouraged to reach for and press a large switch that releases an appropriate recorded message. It's wonderful seeing Bethany have a 'voice'.
Our Bethany is such a beautiful girl (inside and out) who touches everyone she meets.
