BIOGRAPHY

Anakin was diagnosed with having a limb defect when mum was 22 weeks pregnant.

Anakin was born with a missing radial bone and short limbs of the right arm. His fingers do not bend nor his elbow and his hand is turned 90 degrees. He had open heart surgery at 6 months which didn’t go to plan and he was extremely sick.

He has an extra rib and deformities to his vertabrae and ribs and a small right ear, in which he wears a hearing aide. He also has daily injections of growth hormones as he is very small for his age. Anakin attends Westmead hospital often to see doctors and have tests carried out, as well as speech therapy. 

Anakin is a happy little boy who does things to the best of his ability even though it is a struggle at times. He doesn’t mind having his daily injections as he feels it will help him to grow big enough to work at Bunnings, as his other interest is in tools and fixing things.
