Aidan was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy two months before his 4th birthday. A routine visit to the doctors with concerns about his feet resulted in the diagnosis of a severe and terminal form of muscular dystrophy weeks later.
Aidan is currently 7 years old and in grade 3. He is a popular member of his class and enjoys spending time with his mates at the park, beach and on sleepovers. His extra-curricular activities include swimming and cricket, and he is about to become a boy scout! He is a keen artist, spending hours drawing, Simpsons characters in particular, and wants to be a computer animator when he grows up.
